Interior Design Show 2017-#IDS2017

I had an opportunity to display my metal sculptures at the Toronto Interior Design Show in January 2017, earlier this year.  I decided to display my metal screen-Birds in Flight, the Globe, and the light column with great success.  Guests to the show range from local artisans, designers, architects, and home owners.  The show was fantastic and worth every penny.  Everyone in the Prototype section is creative and extraordinary and I made some great connections too.  I look forward to IDS2018 with some new metal art.  ...

Privacy Screens in Canada

I have started my business in 1999 in the landscaping in the Toronto area.  In 2010 I have launched an addition to my designs with garden art and privacy screens.  These custom made and custom sizable metal screens  can be installed on a deck, on a fence and in the garden on a frame.  Great for privacy and as an art piece, they can bring life to boring areas of the garden.  My metal screens are designed and plasma cut in Burlington, Ontario, Canada.  My client’s have used these screens to block an unsightly area, create property division, and soften a fence where plants are unable to be grown due to space, and light levels. The opportunities are endless....

Metal Art

Metal in the Landscape Consider adding a piece of art work in the garden; on the fence; or on a wall. It can beautify any bland area.  Add a piece in a wooden gate, as skirting on a deck, as a privacy screen.  It can add interest in areas where space is limited. Check out our plasma cut screens, plasma cut artwork and custom art pieces in the Metal Screens Portfolio. #Metal Screen...

Time Lapse Photography

This year I have had the pleasure of learning a lot of things from my big brother.  He is so computer creative.  He is up on the latest technology and in doing so he has really opened my eyes on keeping up with the times.  Blogging, Tweeting, Facebook, LinkedIn…. So many things to know and understand, and it can become overwhelming.  This summer I learned about Time Lapse Photography.  He showed me how easy it is on his Android phone.  Intriguing, I thought.  This would be so perfect in landscape designing.  I can implement and document a garden from zero to complete using a Nikon camera, a tripod and a Hahnel Giga T Pro II (I opted for this system because my phone memory is too small).  This little gadget hooks onto the top of my camera and allows me to set the intervals in which to...

Business to Business Designs

I am a graduate from Niagara College in the horticulture program.  Within the program we had Landscape Design.  I really took to the creativity of this program, as I did when I was in art class in high school.  Throughout the years I have focused on perfecting the design process and plantings.  I have studied plants at my own home with many test plants that have taken, and many that do not agree with where I placed them.  It has taken me 15 years to learn, discover, fail (on some)and succeed.  I want to take out the guessing game for fellow landscapers that can install a great hardscape but lack in the planting department.  Plants can cost a lot of money and if you don’t understand their needs and habits then losing them could be detrimental.  This is why I provide design service to other landscape businesses, so that when the...
